Documents land in a dual-layer (document + page) OpenSearch index; per-page ingestion mixes PyMuPDF, Textract OCR/Tables (heuristic-gated), and Mistral Large structured extraction on AWS Bedrock, batched 3 pages per call to cut LLM cost about 3x. Retrieval fuses vector and BM25 results with reciprocal-rank fusion across 7 specialist agents, running on an async Lambda job model (DynamoDB jobs, self-invoke fan-out) that clears API Gateway's 29s ceiling.
It reached 0.88 jurisdiction accuracy on the team's evaluation suite.
